Pros of SwiftKey
- Great Predictive tool, almost on par with Google
- Good keyboard layout for easy typing
- Voice input works well
Cons of SwiftKey
- Price, took me over a year to buy it.
- Screen space- this is a minor con, it takes little less than half of screen space on tablet, would like it to be a little less.
- this is suppose to be tablet only, to have for phone you would need to buy that version. not a fan of that, especially since Android is suppose to make this be a platform independent OS.
Summary
The Google keyboard that comes with your tablet is very good and now is even better with Google Now, but I was looking for something more! Looking for a keyboard that I could be more productive by typing and holding my 10.1 inch tablet in my hands instead of laying on my lap. This was a struggle. most times I would eventually have to lay tablet on lap to type. The predictive feature on SwiftKey helps me makes this a good productivity replacement for the current keyboard. It predicts by learning my writing style( which learns by you typing, viewing your blog, Facebook, and Twitter account,if you let it).
